Date Finished: July 4th 2017

How BJJ can be used as a powerful tool in drug addiction recovery is a article written by Connor Hayes from bjjee.com. The article is about how the martial art/combat sport of BJJ or Brazilian Jiu Jitsu can be used as a tool for recovering drug addicts and the reasoning behind why BJJ is useful for recovering drug addicts.

How BJJ can be used as a powerful tool in drug addiction recovery is a useful and informative article. It is a useful article because it has many good useful points about how BJJ helps drug addicts which may inspire a recovering addict to try BJJ for the reasons stated in the article. The first reason the article has for BJJ helping  recovering drug addicts is BJJ is a health motivator and will help drug addicts to live healthy so they are ready for competitions and can do well at the competitions because of wanting to do well in competition it helps drug addicts stay of drugs so they can win.The second reason the article had for BJJ helping recovering drug addicts is BJJ helps cure boredom this is good for recovering drug addicts because it can stop them from just sitting around and getting bored then going back to drugs because of being bored. The last major reason for BJJ helping recovering drug addicts is BJJ builds confidence and helps people to make friends building confidence is good for recovering drug addicts because is helps them feel good without being on drugs.Having new friends is also good because it can give you people to talk to about problems you may be having.

How BJJ can be used as a powerful tool in addiction recovery has an impact on all recovering drug addicts because when recovering from drugs its important to have something to take your mind off drugs and distract you from wanting to have drugs especially in the first few months of recovery. The article has an effect on me knowing that something i put most of my free time into can be used to help people who are going through tough times. It make me happy to see  that this article is on the internet because a person recovering from drugs may see it and decide to try the martial art and it could help them change their life and stop them from going back to drugs later on in life because  they will be to focused on improving them selves so they can win matches or just keep helathy.

Book/Movie Title: Overheated British Schoolboys Rebel against shorts ban by wearing skirts
Author/Director: Stuff.co.nz
Text Type: News Article
Date finished: Thursday June 29th 2017

Overheated Schoolboys Rebel against shorts ban by wearing skirts is a news article by Stuff.co.nz. The News article is about a group of British schoolboys rebelling against a no shorts policy at their school by wearing the skirts.

I find it encourageing that a group of normal teenage boys from England decided to stand up for what is right and protest for every other student that goes to their school (Isca Academy). The group of boys said they decided to protest for the change because even on days when it is 30 degrees they are forced to wear pants so they decided if they can't wear shorts they would protest and wear skirts. I think what makes it even more amazing is to get the change at their school they wore the skirts to school even knowing they would get in trouble but they didn't care they wanted the change for themselves and their school mates.

What these normal teenage boys done in England by protesting for change has an impact on a lot of people all over the globe. The reason a few teenagers protesting what they believe in at school affects all people is because all around the world especially people in countries in the middle east. People are protesting for all different reasons but even though their reasons for protest are different one thing that everyone has in common with the boys is everyone that protest or argues against something is arguing against injustice and mistreatment and trying to change the world so they are treated properly and this is exactly what these English school boys were doing arguing for change in their community.

Conclude findings by explaining what is happening to your body as a response to exercise.

As a response to exercise  more blood flows through your capilaries to give your body oxygen and the capilaries in your face close to the surface of your skin will cause your face to go red.The capilierises also help us to get heat out of our body.

P.E Revision Biomechanical Principals-Levers

In the throwing activities, the distance achieved is directly related to the speed of the release. Generally, the longer a lever is, the faster the distal end of the object will move. For this reason, the farther a discus or hammer thrower can position the implement from the body (the axis of rotation) during the turns before the release, the greater the speed of release.

In Shot Put the bicep is the antagonist and the input of force the fulcrum is the elbow joint the load is at the end of the arm.The more extended the the atheltes arm and the higher the position of the athlete the more force and speed the shot put will gain.

COG Centre of gravity High vs low and shifting                                        What do they stand for
VLG Verticle line of gravity Always runs through the centre of gravity

4.Newtons laws-there are 3 what are they give sporting examples for each Inertia-If you kick a ball it will keep rolling till an outside force stops it. F=ma. Action/Reaction-If you bounce a ball on the ground it will bounce back up.
