AIM: To observe the effects of a copper catalyst on the reaction between zinc and sulfuric acid.
Equipment: Three test tubes test tube rack 10ml measuring cylinder dropping pipette granuated zinc copper turnings or powder dilute sulfuric acid h2so4
Method:
1 Add roughly the same mass of zinc to test tube 1 and 3
2 Add roughly the same mass of copper to test tubes 2 and 3
3 Add 5ml of dilute sulfuric acid to test tube . Note the rate of production of gas bubbles.
4 Add 5ml of the acid to test tube 2. Note the rate of production of gas bubbles.
5 Add 5ml of the acid to test tube 3. Note the rate of production of gas bubbles.
test tube 1 Fizz
test tube 2 Bubble
test tube 3 Nothing much happened

PE Revision Test
1.Force summation is...Using as many body parts as possible and moving small mucles last to get maximum power.Or large mucles for power small mucles for accuracy and direction.
2.Projectile motion has 3 factors impacting the projectiles distance what are they
Speed of realese Angle of realese Height of realese
3.Balance and stability are impacted by
BOS Base of support Width and points of contact
COG Centre of gravity High vs low and shifting What do they stand for
VLG Verticle line of gravity Always runs through the centre of gravity
4.Newtons laws-there are 3 what are they give sporting examples for each Inertia-If you kick a ball it will keep rolling till an outside force stops it. F=ma. Action/Reaction-If you bounce a ball on the ground it will bounce back up.

Observing the Effects of Surface Area on Reaction Rate
Aim: To make simple observations during a reaction between calcium carbonate CaCo3 chips and powder with hydrochloric acid HCI
Equipment:Boiling tube calcium carbonate chips and powder with hydrachloric acid measuring cylinder spatula
Method:
1:Measure 2ml of hydrochloric acid and pour this into your boiling tube.
2: Holding your boiling tube over a sink of heatproof mat add a pea-sized amount of calcium carbonate powder to your boiling tube.Record your observations below.
3:Repeat the experiment but this time use a chip of calcium carbonate that is roughly the same size as the spatula of powder you used previously.Record your observations below.
RESULTS
When using powder it fizzed up.
When using the rocks it bubbled.
CONCLUSION
In conclusion the more reactants there is the faster the reaction will happen or the more surface the faster the reaction occured

Investigating the Effect of Concentration on Reaction Rate
Introduction:In this experiment the effect of concentration on the rate of reaction between sodium thiosulfate and hydrochloric acid is investigated
Equipment: A conical flask measuring cylinder stopwatch black cross on the paper 0.2 mol L-1 sodium thiosulfate 1.0 mol L-1 hydrocholric acid
Method
Equipment: A conical flask measuring cylinder stopwatch black cross on the paper 0.2 mol L-1 sodium thiosulfate 1.0 mol L-1 hydrocholric acid
Method
- Put the piece of paper with the X on the bench and put the conical flask on it.
- Measure 10mL of Sodium Thiosulfate and put it into the conical flask.
- Measure 40mL of Water and put it into the conical flask. Swirl to mix.
- Measure 5mL of HCl.
- Pour the Sodium Thiosulfate into the conical flask, start the timer and swirl the flask.
- Stop timing when the you can't see the cross on the paper.
- Wash out the flask thoroughly.
- Repeat experiment 20mL of Sodium Thiosulfate and 30mL of Water.
- Repeat experiment 30mL of Sodium Thiosulfate and 20mL of Water.
- Repeat experiment 40mL of Sodium Thiosulfate and 10mL of Water.
- Repeat experiment 50mL of Sodium Thiosulfate and no Water
RESULTS
10ml of sodium thiosulfate/40ml of water 4min 43 seconds
20ml of sodium thiosulfate/30ml of water 2 minutes
30ml of sodium thiosulfate/20ml of water 54.63 seconds
40ml sodium thiosulfate/10ml of water 44.22 seconds
50ml of sodium thiosulfate/no water 33.62 seconds
Conclusion
In conclusion the more concentrated the chemicals the the faster the chemicl reaction takes place

Good and Bad Coaching PE
The first coach was coaching his team very very aggresivly and wouldnt listen to his team he also swore at them and made them feel like shit.He also had a go at the refs as if it was a professional game. The coach was unsuccesful his team was losing and feeling like shit at the same time.Alot of the players ended up sad and looking at the ground in shame. The second coach was alot more succesful in the training he connected with his team made them feel good he had a good tone of voice and asked his team questions and gave them feedback and at the same time was helping his team have fun and gain alot of skills in the process. His athletes responed by happily listening to him and following the drills while having fun and smiling. In Conclusion the second coach was alot better because he talked sense and gave good constructive feedback not just yelling a bunch of random stuff a his team like the first coach. He alos helped the kids have fun while learning which is the main thing you must do as a coach in junior sport as it helps them enjoy the sport and hopefully they continue to play the sport and if they wish make a career from it.
